Text privacy

Effective October 15, 2026

This policy covers phone verification and the optional 52weeks activity text notification program, operated by Silas Spencer.

What we use

We store your phone number, its country, when it was verified, when you enabled activity texts, category activation times, and the people whose new events you subscribe to. We also store notification and delivery records, including delivery status and the messaging provider’s message identifier. RCS delivery may include read status when your device shares it. Notification texts may include friends’ display names and event titles that you are permitted to see.

Why we use it

We use this information to verify ownership of your number, send notifications you opted into, honor your preferences, prevent misuse, and investigate delivery problems. Phone verification and account security messages are separate from your optional activity-text preference. We validate the country of your activity notification number using Twilio Basic Lookup. Ordinary reply bodies are not retained; keyword receipts let us apply opt-out requests without replaying an old request against later consent.

Who receives it

Twilio, the mobile carriers, and the RCS network providers involved in delivery process your number and the message content to provide verification and messaging services. Our infrastructure providers store the information needed to operate the app.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text notification opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your controls

Activity texts are optional and off by default. You can turn them off in Settings → Notifications or reply STOP. Changing your verified number clears your activity consent.
